This scene is delightful the first time around, but it’s funny as hell in the context of Abed’s point at the end of the episode, that he doesn’t actually have a problem getting girls, girls approach him all the time, and he just wanted them to believe they were being helpful. Because then this is just him trolling them. And it is glorious.

OH MY GOD

I HAD NOT REALIZED THAT. Although I wonder how much of that is him trolling and how much is him realizing that they expect him to be like this, and thus giving them what they expect.

After all, if he fails extra hard then that means that they can help him even more! Thus, they help him. He succeeds. They feel good. He makes them happy. And thus Abed is happy.

(but I like the idea of Abed trolling them. ABED. YOU ARE THE BESTEST THING EVER)
